Adelaide health

The first hospital founded in Adelaide was the Royal Adelaide Hospital which was founded in the year of eighteen forty; it is a major hospital in Adelaide and is also a teaching hospital as well for the University of Adelaide. This hospital has seven hundred and five beds. There are also two other RAH campuses as well that are known for specializing in patient services which are located in the suburbs of the city which are the Hampstead Rehabilitation Center which is in Northfield and also the Glenside Campus of Mental Health Service. There are also three other large hospitals located in the area as well which includes The Women’s and Children’s Hospital which has three hundred and five beds and is located on the King William Road which is in North Adelaide as well as the Queen Elizabeth Hospital which has three hundred and forty beds and is located in Woodville and the last large hospital that you need to know about is the Flinders Medical Center which has five hundred beds and is located in Bedford Park.

The Women and Children’s Hospital as well as the Queen Elizabeth Hospital deals with the University of Adelaide and the Flinders Center are associated with the Flinders University. In the month of June of the year two thousand and seven, the state government took the time to announce several overhauls that would affect the health sector which would mean that a new hospital would be constructed so that it could replace the Royal Adelaide Hospital that is located on the rail yards which is west of the Adelaide Railway Station. The new hospital that will be built in its place will have around eight hundred beds and will cost one point seven billion dollars in Australian money as well. The hospital will also be renamed so that it is the Marjorie Jackson Nelson Hospital which would be after the Governor of South Australia. There are also other healthcare facilities as well that will be doing some remodeling as well so that they are able to better serve the community.
